Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information SyncUs collects, why it is used, how it is protected and how you can delete it when using the SyncUs Android application or web application.
Account information
- Your name and internal account identifier.
- Your email address, which is used to register and sign in.
- A securely hashed password and authentication session records. SyncUs does not store your password in plain text.
Content you create
SyncUs stores information that you choose to add so the service can provide its core functionality:
- Space name, membership and invitation information.
- Shopping lists, quantities, notes and custom products.
- Wishes, descriptions, links, prices and optional images.
- Bills, descriptions, amounts, due dates and payment history entered by users.
- Plans and calendar events, including titles, descriptions, dates and reminder settings.
- Service events needed to synchronize changes between members and devices.
Premium subscriptions
If you purchase Premium, Google Play processes the payment. SyncUs does not receive or store your bank card details. We receive and store subscription-related information such as the product identifier, purchase token, subscription status and expiry information so we can verify and provide Premium access.
Technical information
The service may process limited operational information such as IP address, request path, response status, request duration, authentication sessions and security events. This information is used to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service. SyncUs does not currently use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs.
How information is used
- To create and manage accounts.
- To provide lists, wishes, bills, plans, reminders and optional space sharing.
- To synchronize content between authorized space members and devices.
- To verify subscriptions and enforce Free and Premium limits.
- To prevent abuse, maintain security and provide support.
Who can access information
SyncUs does not sell personal data and does not share it for advertising. Content in a shared space is visible to the other authorized member of that space. Data may be processed by infrastructure providers acting on our behalf to host and operate the service, and by Google Play when processing and verifying Android subscriptions. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.
Security
Data is transmitted using HTTPS on the production service. Passwords are stored as cryptographic hashes, and access to private space data requires an authenticated account. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the service.
Retention
Account and active space data are retained while needed to provide the service. Access to completed history may depend on the Free or Premium plan. Operational logs, expired sessions, subscription records and backups may be retained for a limited period for security, recovery, accounting, fraud prevention or legal compliance.
Account and data deletion
The primary deletion method is available inside SyncUs under Settings → Account → Delete account. You can also submit a request without access to the app. The exact effect on a shared space depends on whether you are its owner or another member.
